Infrared Thermography Survey Report

The Allegheny Ridge Wind Farm is PA's largest operational wind farm. CAMCO was hired to assist in  operational assistance.  The farm has 40 wind turbines, each operating at 2 MW.  The windfarm produces 80 MW.

Project Highlights
  • Performed acceptance testing on substation for utility tie on to 230kV line and collection system for Black and Veatch
  • Provided Ground testing by fall of potential method to owner during construction
  • Provided Hi Pot testing on 34.5 kV cables to installing contractor, Biter Electric
  • Provided start-up assistance during initial start-up for Black and Veatch
  • Provided quarterly inspections of 34.5kV switchgear for owners
  • Provided yearly testing and calibration of revenue meters for owners
  • Provided emergency cable fault location services on collection system with a Time Domain Reflectometer for owners at various times for owners
